Di Maggios Group: The Citizen
Hugh Stirling was appointed by Di Maggio's Restaurant Group to work alongside, project managers BCC Ltd on the refurbishment of The Citizen Bar in Glasgow.
Situated in a Grade A1 listed building, The Citizen now occupies the former offices of The Evening Citizen, one of Glasgow’s first evening newspapers.
The project comprised of the full internal strip out and refurbishment of the main bar and Editor’s suite, a VIP room with cabinets which house customers special private bottles of spirits, over the course of an 8-week period.
Key features of the fit-out include the manufacture and installation of a bespoke hardwood gantry, a studded leather front to the bar, hardwood parquet flooring and marble bar counters.
