As part of our reactive services, sometimes we get jobs through that require us to go above and beyond. We got a call on a Sunday that required us to attend an emergency flood within 3 hours that affected many floors in the hotel. We managed to get a contract manager there for a full survey and a team assembled armed with De-hums to minimise the damage within 2 hours.
The flood-affected rooms from the 5th floor to the ground floor and much of the suspended ceiling had to be taken down to make safe. There was substantial damage to carpets which we managed to full strip back, position De-hums to dry out, and then fully clean and sanitise all areas ready for fit-out to allow the hotel to get trading in the quickest time possible.
