McLarens on the Corner
Situated in a former bank building on the Holy Corner in Morningside, Edinburgh, McLarens on the Corner encompasses two different restaurants and a small bar on the top floor. Following on from a number of previous successful refurbishment projects, Signature Pub Group appointed Hugh Stirling to undertake the Specialist Fit-Out of the entire building in September 2019.
Working alongside Tibbatts Abel Interior Designers and Ian Forbes Architects, we undertook the full fit-out over 2 months with the project successfully being handed over to the client prior to Christmas 2019.
The scope of the fit-out included the bespoke manufacture and installation of four bar counters and gantries, wall panelling, feature fireplaces, panelled hardwood doors plus the installation of hardwood flooring, tiling and all aspects of decoration.
The bars, in particular, are noteworthy due to their intricate construction consisting of marbles, hardwoods, ornate brass work and mirrors. The feature fire tables in the ground floor are also impressive due to their marble tops, polished plaster, polished brass fire basket and copper fire hood. We were also responsible for the full fit-out of all bathrooms and a large kitchen area.
