Hugh Stirling were appointed by Glendola Leisure, to work alongside Leask Architects to transform the former Bank of Scotland building in West George Street, Glasgow, which has listed status, into the Shilling Brewing Co.
The project comprised of the full internal strip out and redevelopment of an existing two-level mezzanine floor containing a bar and restaurant to a full height open bar and microbrewery over a 4-month period.
Key features of the fit out include the installation of the following:
Full microbrewery including fermentation and brewery rooms
Marble and copper bars with 8 copper beer conditioning and serving storage vessel’s encased in full height glazed metal screens at mezzanine level
Feature designer concrete floor
6 metre high fluted Italian marble columns recreated to match existing features
Specialist pizza oven
Manufactured bespoke herringbone contrasting timber and metalwork tables
Feature oak timber floor branded with Shilling Brewing Company logo.
